Membership General Information
All members of TnT Paranormal are volunteers and must be 18 years of age or older. No member receives any type of compensation for their participation and each member must provide his/her personal time, equipment (computer and headphones for data review), transportation to / from investigations (events, etc.), and pay monthly dues, for a background check, initial training fee, and for their own expenses. It is also important to mention that most of what we do is on the weekends and at night (between 5PM and 3AM) and in the area (within 100 miles) for the chapter you apply to.
As a volunteer organization TnT Paranormal seeks out only those people with the highest level of commitment to the field of paranormal investigation and research. Members must be able to commit time and effort not only for investigations but also for data review after the investigation. We primarily work on cases for clients.
Each member is held to a very high standard of personal conduct as a representative of TnT Paranormal and must sign a Code of Conduct. They also must be willing to pay for and have a background check ($20) performed on them. The background check must come back with no misdemeanor or felony convictions. Please note we go into clients homes and businesses so this is done for both the clients and teams safety.
Membership Requirements
There are three levels of membership with TnT Paranormal Investigators LLC: full time, part time, and data reviewers / researcher. Each position has a specific level of commit to investigations, events, and other obligations in a given year. The commitment criteria is specific to the chapter you are applying to.
There are also physical demands put on the investigator. As an investigator you have to be able to walk, stand, and be on your feet a lot; climb stairs; lift the equipment; and carry bags and cases (average weight 20 lbs) it into the locations. For instance during an investigation you might be on your feet and walking around for 6 to 8 hours.
All members of TnT Paranormal are required to attend team meetings, investigations, assist with data review, and pay monthly dues. Please note that for every hour of investigation time we have 12 to 16 hours of data to review. Each team member must review any data collected on their own equipment as well as review their share of data collected on team equipment. All data must be reviewed within 2 weeks of receipt. This is true whether you are an investigator or data reviewer. For an investigator each case you participate on could take 20+ hours of your time over a three week period of time.
In addition to investigations TnT Paranormal puts on events, hosts a library program series, and publishes a monthly newsletter. Team members are required to participate in all of these areas as well.
All new members to TnT Paranormal will be on probation initially until it is felt they are ready to investigate on their own. As well as all new members must attend at least two team meetings, attend data review training, review at least 20 hours of client data, and go through investigation training prior to going on a client investigation. This is to ensure the team member is trained and ready for an investigation.
Open, honest, and two-way communication is critical for a great team. The team lead will send out various communications least once a week, usually more frequently, as well as update the website and Facebook pages on a regular. You are expected to provide prompt communication in return.
Notes:
- Ideally a Case Manager is also either an investigator or data reviewer. A Case Manager must be able to devote about 10 to 12 hours per case on top of the investigator and/or data reviewer requirements. A Case Manager could be managing several cases at one time (2 to 4).
- Data Reviewers do not go on investigations, but rather review the data we gathered at an investigation.
- If accepted as a Data Reviewer after 6 months you will be eligible to apply for Part Time Investigator.
- All investigators that join the team start as a Part Time Investigator.
- Part Time Investigators will be asked if they have time to review data for cases they don't investigate on.
- If accepted as a Part Time Investigator after 6 months you will be eligible to apply for Full Time Investigator.
- To be a member of TnT Paranormal you need to have a passion for, be dedicated to, have the desire to learn about, and have free time to give to the field of paranormal investigation.
- A car or transportation and a computer are requirements for membership.
Job Description: Case Manager
A case manager is the initial contact person and touch point between the team and the client. The case manager is responsible for collecting initial details surrounding the case, client, and property and working with the team lead to schedule the client appointments (interview, investigation, and reveal). Case managers will also check in with the client at key steps along the way and report back to the Lead Investigator. The case manager must be able to successfully complete all requirements for this position.

Job Description: Researcher
A researcher must love history and digging through mounds and mounds of information. A researcher will use several tools and be responsible for finding and identifying the background information on the client, property, city, surrounding area, past owners, environmental issues, etc. You also will need to be able to research medicines, medical conditions, certain paranormal phenomena, etc. The researcher must be able to successfully complete all requirements for this position.
To be a member of TnT Paranormal Investigators you will need to have a passion for, be dedicated to, have the desire to learn about, and have the free time to give to the field of paranormal investigation; as well as be at least 18 years of age. Primarily our cases are at private residences and business. You must be willing and able to donate your time, energy, and pay your own expenses.

Job Description: Investigator
An investigator is an essential member of the team and must undergo all procedure and hands on training; as well as regularly participate in meetings and investigations. An investigator works within a team to provide an investigation into supposed paranormal phenomena. An investigator must assist with the collection, review, analysis, interpretation of data obtained on client investigations. An investigator must be able to successfully complete all requirements for this position. An investigator will join the team as a part-time member and with an "in training" status.
To be a member of TnT Paranormal Investigators you will need to have a passion for, be dedicated to, have the desire to learn about, and have the free time to give to the field of paranormal investigation; as well as be at least 18 years of age. Primarily our cases are at private residences and business. You must be willing and able to donate your time, energy, and pay your own expenses.

A data reviewer is an essential member of the team and must undergo all procedure and hands on training; as well as regularly participate in meetings and investigations. An data reviewer must assist with the analysis, interpretation of data obtained on client investigations. An data reviewer must be able to successfully complete all requirements for this position.

Membership Application Process
The process for membership is fairly rigorous since we want all parties to get to know each other better to make sure we all feel we are a good fit for each other. The membership process is as follows:
1) Fill out a membership application for the team. Please note that by filling out the application you agree that you have read and understand all of the membership requirements. Please note we will reply to your application within 48 hours. If you do not hear from us by then please email us in case their was a error in form processing.
2) Participate in a phone interview with the team lead.
3) If steps 1 and 2 go well, then there will be a face to face meeting where you will meet more team members.
4) Assuming step 3 goes well then we will do a background check on you (at your expense).
5) If the background check is passed you will need to sign the Code of Conduct for a team member.
6) Then if all parties agree that we are a good match then team membership is offered at a probation status. Afterwards, you must attend two team meetings and two training sessions with the team prior to going on a client investigation.
